Hello Reader, I hope you had a great week and delicious snacks. I know I have been focused on encouraging you to share your story. I waned to take a moment and explain why I am passionate about us sharing our story. When I was creating my Unlock Your Story audio workshop, I kept thinking about all the times I let self-doubt stop me. Not because I didn’t believe in my ideas, but because I questioned whether anyone would want to hear my voice. Not my message, but my voice. I had to trace that doubt back. And when I did the work that became this workshop, I realized it led straight to my father. The Moment That Changed EverythingEarly in my career, I had a vision: opening a salon for Black women. As the Director of Education for Salon Resources, I had visited some of the most stunning salons in the country, and I wanted to create something just as beautiful. My friend and I found the perfect building—a former home for nuns owned by the Catholic Church. The location was incredible. The vision was clear. The only thing missing was the funding. I turned to my father for help. I sat beside him, heart full of excitement, and shared my plan. He listened, looked me straight in the eyes, and said: "Nobody is going to invest in someone who is just a hairdresser." In that moment, my heart shattered. My soul left my body. And without realizing it, that sentence planted an invisible seed of doubt that took years to unravel. I didn’t understand why I kept talking myself out of great opportunities—until I traced it back to that moment. Your Origin Story Shapes EverythingWe don’t always know why we hold ourselves back. But there’s always an origin story. A moment that shaped how we see ourselves and our worth. That moment becomes the voice of our imposter syndrome, our hesitation, our self-doubt. I once did an interview with a therapist, and she asked me why I believe our stories are so important. My answer? Because our stories are the key to our healing as Black women. The world has never truly studied us, prioritized us, or worked to understand us. We’ve had to do that work ourselves. And part of that work is recognizing that our inner doubts aren’t random. They aren’t “just the ego.” They were programmed into us—sometimes by people who meant well, sometimes by those who didn’t. But the truth is: once we recognize the root, we can begin to uproot the belief. That’s Why I Created the Unlock Your Story WorkshopThis isn’t just another storytelling workshop. This is personal development at its core—a deep dive into your inner dialogue designed to help you shift the narrative you tell yourself. The Unlock Your Story audio workshop feels like a one-on-one session with me. You’ll get powerful exercises, reflection prompts, and structured feedback to guide you through The Story Reframe Process. Who Is This For?This is for the coach, the speaker, the entrepreneur, the author—the woman who knows she has a message to share but keeps waiting for “the right time.” The woman who hides in the background because perfectionism whispers, not yet. Let me tell you something: people are tired of listening to tech bros and AI-generated nonsense. They want real voices. Real stories. Real women with lived experiences and something powerful to say. That’s you. You’ve got years of wisdom. Stories of triumph and resilience. Even some hilarious “OMG, did that really happen?” moments. And yet, there’s that little voice in the back of your head saying, girl, nobody cares. That voice is a liar. And I’m here to help you send it packing. What You’ll LearnIn this workshop, you’ll go through three transformative phases:
Each phase builds on the next, leading you to a breakthrough that will change how you show up in the world. The Reality Is…Every single day, they try to erase us—our history, our impact, our legacy. We’ve been conditioned to be silent, to smile, to shrink ourselves. Society has told us we are not wanted or necessary. But the evidence proves otherwise. You are a treasure. A miracle. A woman building a legacy. But who will know about it unless YOU tell them? Like Queen Ramonda in Black Panther said: "Show them who you are." And like Kendrick Lamar said: Sometimes, you gotta pop off and show them. Ready to Unlock Your Story? This is an on-demand audio workshop, meaning you can start the moment you sign up. You’ll have access to a learning portal, guided exercises, and real-time Q&A support. But here’s the real question: Are you going to let that little voice talk you out of it again? Or will you take this as your sign to say yes? Your audience is waiting. [Sign up now.]
